Discovered homemade bomb at Voss – Dagbladet.no

(Dagbladet): The explosive was found earlier in the day, during a search of a residence in Gjernesvegen Voss, reports Bergens Tidende.

– There is talk of ten kilograms of dynamite found in a garage. It was found both civilian and military explosives, said operations manager Preben Wallestad in Hordaland police district to Dagbladet.

The explosive is described as unstable, and police describes it as a homemade bomb. In the night working police bomb squad and explosives experts from the defense of the place.

The house where the explosives were found, and six other homes have been evacuated. Residents are now lodged at hotels.

– The clock 23.01 I received stated that the effort to remove the dynamite was underway and that it will take a few hours, says Wallestad.

He can not say anything more about why the house was ransacked, or if someone has been arrested in the case.
