Stoltenberg writes about the conflict with the Jagland – Bergens Tidende

Jens Stoltenberg devotes much space in his new book to war with the former Ap-leader Thorbjørn Jagland. A chapter has been given the title of “Lederstrid”. There is described, among other meetings behind Jaglands back.

None of the two previous partilederne has so far talked or written about the details of the lederstriden, but in the book “My story”, which released Friday, takes Stoltenberg blade from the mouth and provides “a detailed insight into the inflamed controversy”, writes Dagens Næringsliv.

The current chapter starts with the end in 2001, a defeat that led to Stoltenberg felt that he had failed and began to doubt themselves.

Stoltenberg has written the last words in his biography

– Confrontational

While the current secretary general of NATO at the time was the prime minister and deputy chairman of the party, was Jagland the leader. Stoltenberg writes about how he believes Jagland did not take responsibility for the defeat. He also describes the problems and suspicion in partiledelsen:

“Thorbjørn became increasingly introverted. He was also very confrontational, and perceived all the diverse viewpoints that criticism and personal attacks. He was difficult to get in touch with and even harder to work with.”

the Newspaper has put forward several of the claims in the book Jagland, but he did not want to comment on them.

Secret meetings

Stoltenberg writes that he believes Jagland as conspiracy that was not there and was convinced that some would have him away. As the conflict was deeper and more inflamed, it was on the set and show just what happened, writes VG. In the book describes how the central trade union representatives held meetings behind Jaglands back: “We had been loyal for nine years. Now we managed it no more”.

Among other things, describes Stoltenberg for a meeting in an apartment in Oslo.

“We pass on is not to be seen together when we arrived at this apartment. We came from different directions and at different times. Several of us had familiar faces, and we were afraid that someone would suspect us to come together to fraksjonere. And it was exactly what we wanted.”

Autobiography, published at the publishing house Gyldendal, released on Friday at 8. A planned press conference on Friday is postponed because Stoltenberg travels to Israel to participate when the country’s former prime minister and president Shimon Whom are buried.
