Sheriff fears that foreign environments may be involved: – Then I think we … – Dagbladet.no

EFG (Dagbladet): Police have yet no suspects for the murder of Nils Olav Bakken. 49-year-old was found dead Saturday.

– We ask ourselves questions all the time. Who could have done something horrible and terrible? asks Ole Bjerke, sheriff in Dokka, when Dagbladet hit him Tuesday night.

Want more tips

Bjerke says they have not yet found any clues on the one or possibly several perpetrators, and therefore depends heavily on tips from the public to get closer to a solution.

49 years old Nils Olav Bakken was found murdered in a wooded area in Veståsen in Southern Countries in Oppland Saturday. He was found by two hikers in 19:30 o’clock.

Police want tips on people who may have seen anything around the discovery site, which is a popular walking area. Besides tips from around Bakkens residence in Landmovegen 4 in Dokka.

– We are totally dependent on tips this case. It applies to people who may have been in areas and vehicles is particularly important, says Bjerke.

He says they are not completely clueless, but they are dependent on several witnesses in the case.

Heavy drug infected environments

Nils Olav Bakken was part of the drug environment in Dokka and was an acquaintance of the police.

police Bjerke describes drug environment in municipalities Northern – and Southern land as “heavy.” Dozens of people should be part of the environment.

– Those in heavy drug environment is people from 30 to 60 years. There goes the proceeds of crime. Collection of debts of different type of stroke and hostility is not unusual. This is still an environment we believe we have a good overview of, says Bjerke.

The police have less overview, it is easier drug environment which young people are involved in. It’s also where police enter most resources to crime prevention.

– There are young people we are investing in in cooperation with municipalities. People who have been in drug environment for several years, it is difficult to get out again, so for us it is important to engage in preventive work that young people should not be part of the environment, said the sheriff.

Fearing foreign interference

The sheriff believes that the purchase of drugs mostly takes place in Oslo – two hour drive away – and in neighboring towns Gjovik, Lillehammer and Hønefoss.

– In addition there is also a lot of people from Europe who are here and about, he says.

he fears that foreign environments may be involved.

– if this case is about crimes for profit from abroad, I think we have little chance to solve the murder. That is why we are dependent on the audience, he said.

28. December 2007, a person was found shot dead in a barn in Southern Land. Further out in the investigation, in January 2008, police found a corpse in a pit near the farm. The farm was called “horror farm.” The people who were involved in the case were people from the heavy drug environment in Jevnaker, Skiens Area and in Southern Countries.

Bjerke says that the 2007 killings and murder of Nils Olav Bakken does not have a connection, but says that although they have an overview of the heavy drug environment, they do not know what goes on in the partially closed environment.

– We never know with drug environment. We had not received any “warning signs” that this could happen. It came very surprising. It is tragic what happened, said sheriff Ole Bjerke.
