Sigve Bolstad says to Bergens Tidende that he has deliberately kept a low profile in the media since 21 October this year when the Public Prosecutor announced that they would scrutinize Hordaland -Police handling the investigation of Monika case.
– What has emerged in recent weeks shows that there is a need to do something drastic. My clear advice to the chief is getting into external actors to map the working environment throughout the Hordaland police, he said.

With external actors believe Bolstad a consulting firm. Not Police Directorate, not the prosecutor and not Prosecutions.
Bolstad believes Monika affair undermining people’s confidence in the police. He asks the district supreme leader acknowledge that there is a need to go wider efforts started to survey the work environment. There is not enough internal employee surveys, he said.
– It is something that is not good enough in the Hordaland police, and it is involved in shaping the work environment. It’s not good, either for regular staff or management, says Bolstad.

Police Geir Gudmundsen not reject the counsel of Bolstad whether to hire an external company and they say will consider it.
– It may be that external specialists with expertise in the type mappings must enter for a closer look at our organization. But the time is not right now, says chief.
