“Skibladner” is gone because – Aftenposten

On Twitter reports Hedmark police that Skibladner is jammed in Nessundet in Ringsaker.

The fire brigade and the rescue vessel was sent to the famous tourist attraction, but there was no drama police said. There were no injuries and all passengers were evacuated ashore.

There were 72 passengers on board, newspaper VG reports. Police told the newspaper that two blades are bruised, and that a lifeboat shall try to pull the boat of land.

– The jammed by Skibladner Pier located Nessundet. It’s an old boat, and it is certainly not as easy to maneuver. We’ll have a chat with the captain eventually, says operations in Hedmark Police District, Jørn Akre, to TV 2.

Eva Steady, marketing manager for Skibladner, told VG that the boat went the wrong way from the pier and that it went straight into the countryside. The reason is currently unclear.

For Aftenposten says steady that she has spoken with the captain and that nothing indicates major damage.

– But we shall have a routine review and NMD will come and look at the boat. This will happen no earlier than tomorrow. But my plan is that we will sail again on Tuesday, says the marketing manager.

The incident happened around 11 o’clock.

Skibladner is the oldest scheduled public paddle steamer, and was built in 1850- s.

The boat called “Mjøsas white swan,” and is the only paddle steamer. It has since 2 August 1865 passed the route between Eidsvoll and Lillehammer, first as passenger and godsbåt and later as tourist boat.
