There is tension from Island- to Bentsrud junction affected by the temporary closure. The closure starts at 22 and the road will open again at 6, states of a traffic announcement from the Public Roads Administration.
– It usually takes such work three nights, but it is possible it will be until Saturday morning at 06.00, informs construction manager Odd Tandberg NPRA to Tønsberg Blad.
The reason for the temporary closure is that the Road Administration to set up a security wall on the bridge. The work is added to nighttime to avoid queuing, but motorists count on around ten minute delay.
The detour is the same as when skjeggestad bridge collapsed in February. (© NTB)
