Blindern-watchman charged with perjury after he said he was shot – Dagbladet.no

(Dagbladet): – It happened late yesterday, was that we changed the status of victims in the case. He is now charged with perjury.

It says Grete Lien Metlid, chairman of violence section of the Oslo police, at a news conference at police headquarters in Oslo. She leads the investigation after it was yesterday reported that a security guard was shot at Oslo in Oslo on Wednesday morning, and the close was found a bomb-like object that was placed there to create fear.

When the watchman was charged with having stated anything false, he chose to change their statements.

– accused, former aggrieved, have joined the gun and the bomb-like object, and explained that it was he who placed it there, says Metlid.

– He has explained that it is he who has shot, and he has placed the object.

– said anything about why

Nokas-watchman had explained that he came across two men in the university area, and that he was shot five times by one of them. He shot according to police themselves in the chest, forehead and arm, and was sent to Ullevål Hospital, where he underwent surgery Wednesday. Metlid says weapon is found.

The watchman was questioned last night and tonight.
– It’s seriously what happened, and what he has started. It has raised awareness and fear, and it has created an extensive investigation, says Metlid.

– He has said anything about why he has done this, but it’s too early to conclude around it, said police leader.

Metlid says the man has no damages. She would not say if there were video images from the area revealed that the man had explained his false.

Asked about the watchman may have had accomplices, responding Metlid that it is only he who is charged.

Viewing previous cases

yesterday announced TV 2 that the same watchman who was shot yesterday, earlier said to have been stabbed, shot with stun guns and attempted strangled by rope at work on the campus. The police will now look into these matters.

– He has said something about this now, but I will not go anywhere onto it now. There are matters we will see more of, says Metlid.

The watchman was yesterday described as experienced, and he has worked at the University of Oslo for a longer period. Police say they have alerted the man’s employer.

It is not clear whether the man will be produced for remand. It would then happen tomorrow, informs Metlid.

She says police are still interested in getting in touch with witnesses who were in the area on Wednesday morning, but that they are not looking for people watchman described.
