A man in his 30s is sentenced to two years in prison for abusing position usually at a mental asylum to obtain sexual intercourse with a psychiatric patient.
The former nursing assistant, according to the judgment also have helped the young female patient with several suicide attempts, according to VG. Now he is sentenced to two years in prison and to pay 150,000 dollars in restitution to the woman. He denied also the right to work in the private and public health forever.
Asker and Bærum District Court states in the legal ruling that “the defendant has grossly exploited the trust victim had” to him as nursing assistant in a mental asylum .
The court sat in the first sentence to three years, but gave one-year sentence reduction because the defendant confessed to the conditions he was charged with.
“The victim received a trusting relationship with the defendant Through his position at the mental asylum, and he gained sexual intercourse with her through this relationship of trust. He had repeated intercourse with her during the period April to July 2013, at a time when she was very mentally ill, “said the District Court’s judgment.
