End of the party: Today tightens industry ministers Monica Mæland into … – Aftenposten

The new rules corresponds to a limit of twelve times the basic national insurance amount and apply in 40 companies in which the state has a stake of over 90 percent. 300 subsidiaries of which are also affected, writes Dagens Næringsliv.

– We set the limit there because it is a very good pension. It may mean that someone gets more. But very many have over 1 million in state companies, so this will be a distinct limitation, says Mæland.

Guidelines to tighten bonus and pension was introduced in 2001.

They were last revised by the then Industry Minister Trond Giske (Labour). MÆLAND proposal goes further than Giskes.

Confederation (NHO) dislike Conservative minister tightening.

– We think it is unwise to set a limit there, says director of industrial policy in NHO, Petter Haas Brubakk.

He believes MÆLAND whip only lead to higher managerial salaries.

– The companies must then consider other compensation, which can quickly result in higher wages . It is disappointing and surprising that the government has chosen to set such a limit, says Brubakk.

The rules have not retroactive.
