The accused her husband (44) left Norway before the murder was discovered. The couple came from northern Iraq to Norway as political refugees in 2009.
The 34-year-old woman was found murdered in her own home, a basement flat at Ulsåk in Hemsedal, where she lived with her husband and their two minor children.
Police would not comment on the VG information about how she was found, but the freezer is seized.
– It is not unusual that the police secures a variety of objects at a crime scene. We have also done in this case, said police lawyer Per Thomas Omholt in Northern Buskerud Police District VG.
How the woman died is not clear, but she will be autopsied Friday. She may have been killed as early as last week. Thursday she met not up on the law office where she worked. Police will not say anything about when she was last seen.
The suspect her husband is still at large and police believe to know with certainty where he is located. According VG information, he finds himself in a country that makes extradition to Norway difficult.
