Divers assisting the search for missing diver – Dagsavisen

Storslett: The exploration on land and at sea for a person who is missing after a fishing boat shipwreck Reisafjord in Troms on Monday night. Divers are heading to search through the wreckage.


 
 

The Rescue Coordination Center (RCC) Northern Norway received a signal from the boat’s emergency beacon at 3:10 on Monday night.


 
 

The 35-foot fishing boat was located at around 21 meters depth Maur Neset northern Reisafjord.


 
 

– Your progress continued unabated, and divers are on their way to scour the wreckage. The boat is found at the bottom of the bay, but we’re yet by the person who was on board, said rescue leader Jakob Carlsen at the Joint Rescue Coordination Center (RCC) Northern Norway said.


 
 

Two helicopters, a coastguard vessel, a rescue boat and crews from the Red Cross and Norwegian People’s Aid has participated in the exploration campaign. The helicopters have searched the waters surrounding areas. The site is crawlable is approximately 36 square kilometers.


 
 

Crews checking Monday afternoon along the beaches and in cottages nearby. According HRS was one person on board the fishing boat, but rescue center did not exclude this morning that there may have been more with.
