Agricultural settlement: – All of the state’s district hostile – NRK

– This is a special district hostile offer they come with. It will not give increased Norwegian food production, on the contrary, says county leader in Norwegian Farmers’ Union in Troms, Asgeir slaattnes.

Last week promoted farmers a claim of 860 million in this year’s agricultural settlement (see fact box on the right). Wednesday was the state’s turn to say what they will provide and who should pay for it.

the offer is NOK 770 million during the claim brought by the Norwegian Farmers’ Union and Norwegian Farmers and Smallholders Union.

While the government will cut its direct support from the state, with 70 million, they open to increase prices by 125 million. Thus the so-called framework on offer for 2016 of 90 million.

– The mood is bad. This does not answer the expectations we had and it is not a forward offer state comes with now. This will weaken the Norwegian food production, says slaattnes NRK.

– Removes us out of what is Norwegian

The county manager responds that the state requires the district grant on eggs to be completely removed and that they requires reduced district focuses on include pork.

– in this way it becomes unprofitable to operate with it in northern Norway and it is not good for the north Norwegian agriculture.

Norwegian Farmers’ Union and Norwegian Farmers and Smallholders Union have joined forces that they will stimulate small and medium use, and use in rural areas.

the head of Troms Farmers and Smallholders, Birger Bull, reacts to the state presented Wednesday .

– A collective farming has demanded that we must focus on what is Norwegian agriculture. 80 percent of farms are not large. The state responds by focusing on the 20 percent that have the ability to operate large. That means they remove us out of what is Norwegian. And we have not the world’s best Math because we have developed use, but because we have small devices and low infection pressure, says Bull.

Director Troms Farmers and Smallholders, Birger Bull is not shocked by the offer from the state. – It joins only in the row over how the government wants to downsize the opportunity to cook in Norway.

– irresponsible policy

Birger Bull believes that if we take away the means to produce food on the resources we have, then destroy also for future food production.

– This is the worst. I would almost say that farmers’ income starts to become subordinate, for this is an irresponsible policy.

He seems basically for negotiation is catastrophically bad.

slaattnes says he already had farmers on the phone who think they should start operations.

– From the farmers’ Association’s side, we have said that we should consider this and then I stick as county leader in peace, but what other farmers do I lie not touched. I understand their frustration.

agricultural settlement will be completed on Friday 13 May. In June treats Parliament Agricultural Agreement.
