Bristol-fire in Oslo was quickly extinguished – Adresseavisen

Hotel guests got a short ride on the street when the fire broke out in a garbage room at the Hotel Bristol in Oslo on Sunday.

The entire hotel was evacuated when the fire alarm went a few minutes before the bell 17. A scant minutes later the fire was under control and the guests and employees could return to the hotel. It was first reported thick smoke.

All emergency services came out with huge manpower for the venerable hotel just off the Oslo courthouse. From the fire brigade was sent six fire engines and two rescue vehicles, according to the agency’s account on Twitter.

– The hotel is about to be evacuated for all guests. It is too early to say how many guests we are talking about, but they are spread over six floors, got NTB lit at Oslo police.

Stig Henning Duås Monitoring center of Oslo fire and rescue agency told Aftenposten that there was smoke in a garbage room. The time 17.07 was sent smoke divers into the garbage room.

There are a total of 251 rooms at the hotel.
