Neighbor heard violent bang. – Explosion, police said – Nordlys

A neighbor shelf apartment needs an upgrade that caught fire Wednesday night, says to Nordlys that he heard a tremendous bang.

And at 22.40 confirms incoming operations manager Roy Tore Meyer at Troms Police more of the same.

– There has been an explosion of one kind or another in the apartment. That’s really what I can say.

He also says the damage is still unknown. Two people were taken away by ambulance before police arrived at the site soon after the cook 21.30 tonight. According to Troms Folkeblad late Wednesday night, two young men being sent to UNN by helicopter, and they should be slightly injured.

A picture taken by Nordlys reporter Stein Wilhelmsen also displays a window that bears the mark of the event, but the damage is a consequence of the explosion is too early to say.

Earlier in the evening told the then Operations Joran Bugge to Nordlys that two people were injured, but that he felt closer to the damage.

Soon after, at 21.40 came the message from the police that the fire was extinguished.

Tim-Ruben Lund-Hansen, police officer at Lenvik sheriff’s office, said the following to Nordlys on site:

– We got the message 21.27 and come out with a patrol of three men to Granlia here needs an upgrade. When the ambulance had already been on the spot and retrieved two people being injured.
