Suspicious deaths in Bergen – Aftenbladet.no

The man was found lying partially in the water and since the cause of death could not be ascertained, the police have requested a preliminary autopsy report from Gade Institute. The report is expected Saturday, but the 12-time police had not yet received any results of the autopsy from the Institute.

– The circumstances surrounding this death means that we are investigating it as a so-called undersøkelsessak. Beyond that, this is not any more suspicious than other deaths. So far we have not suspected that it revolves around a murder, says operations manager Stein Rune Halleraker in the Hordaland police.

Surgical leader says police are fairly certain the man’s identity.

Police were alerted found at 18 on Friday after some hikers had seen a person lying dead in the water’s edge.

Police, fire brigade and ambulances came out, and health professionals stated that the man was dead. The area was sealed off and examined by correctional professionals.

– We no longer have any operational measures at the discovery site. This case is now in the investigative trail, says operations manager Stein Rune Halleraker Saturday. (NTB)
