– As many as 5,000 cars pass rasstedet every day. I think we emergency preparedness and mentally must prepare ourselves for that one day happens a disaster along the stretch, says Haga to Bergens Tidende.
E16 in the highly susceptible to landslides area in Vaksdal in Hordaland was reopened on Thursday morning at 0:40, thirty-six hours after major soil, water and trees toppled over the railway line and European way.
The railway line reopened already Tuesday night. Parts of the line were spared because of a superstructure.
No one was taken by the 30- 40 meter wide landslide. But shortly before had a train passed rasstedet, while another drove into the soil, without anyone being injured.
– Once again we can draw a sigh of relief. It went well this time too, says the mayor. (© NTB)
