TV dancer

The 37-year-old dancer Julio Kopseng rape reviewed by 29 different women.

He is legally convicted of two rapes in April 2013. He was in the Court of Appeal acquitted of a third rape, but was ordered to pay compensation to the woman. In this first round dismissed police as well as seven other rape reviews.

He was just after this first sentence, in May 2013 arrested and charged for another rape. Eventually, partly because he was published on the internet, it came into 10 new reviews. Police investigated the cases until December 2013. It was then indicted for nine rapes. The hearing took place in the Oslo City Court over six weeks in Nov / Dec 2014. The Prosecutor’s assertion was at 17 years of detention. In February came the sentence of 15 years’ detention with a minimum term of nine years for nine rapes.

Kopseng has always denied guilt. He believes the victims have tailored their reviews after reading and hearing about the issues in the media.

The court said, however, that he has generally downplayed his own role, given blames and prepared themselves as victims in the case.

The court also considered that the high risk that Kopseng today will commit new sex crimes and pursue sexual violence. “The presence of both dissocial and psychopathic traits make him little available for treatment, since there are no known effective treatment of these conditions.” Wrote the experts in the case.

In addition to the detention of 15 years, he was also ordered to pay 150,000 kroner in damages to eight of the victims. The former spouse, he must pay damages of 270,000 kroner and 10,931 kroner for medicines, medical treatment and psychologist hours. The appeal is scheduled for January 2016.
