FRP and Left disagree about what asylum means the agreement of Syria refugees – Aftenposten

– Asylum Agreement between the Left, the Christian Democrats and the government is not at all an obstacle to accepting additional quota refugees. This agreement says nothing about it. Mixing asylum agreement into this must be due to a misunderstanding of Per Sandberg and FRP his side, said Liberal Deputy Terje Breivik said.

The Progress Party’s national congress adopted Sunday to refuse to accept 10,000 Syrian refugees. FRP deputy Per Sandberg, who was re-elected Sunday, said the asylum agreement with collaborating parties makes it unacceptable to receive more than 2,250.

Fear negotiations

During the debate at the Congress took several delegates advocated to say no to an increase of refugees, instead of saying no to 10,000 and thus leaving a negotiation.

– What we agree on is that we will have zero. We should not have 9999, we shall have two, we will have zero, said Progress Party parliamentary representative Christian Tybring- Pike.

– It should not now go on Støre premises and sit in a room and say we do not accept your 10,000 but agree on 6000, he warned.

The congress was nevertheless agreed to say no to 10,000 quota refugees, after assurances from Per Sandberg that the agreements with the Christian Democrats and Liberals are apparent.

Then we had also the parliamentary leader Harald Tom Nesvik been on the podium and warned to sharpen the language too much.

Take the test:

will contribute neighboring areas

Instead of increasing the number of quota refugees to Norway, go FRP in order to increase aid to refugees in Syria’s neighboring areas. The money will be collected from current aid budget.

– We need to look at whether it is possible to find more money in the aid budget that can be moved over the emergency and humanitarian assistance, explains the editorial committee chairman Per Sandberg said.

Christian Democrat parliamentary leader Hans Olav Syversen call solution sensational.

– It does not give a single penny, but takes from other budget items, money others need. It is disappointing if that’s the only thing they have to come by, says he said.

Last week the government increased funding by 250 million to 1 billion. According to Sandberg, you need about 750 million pounds to help 250,000 refugees in neighboring areas.

Sandberg will not answer how the aid budget money going to come from.

– That’s what we should try to figure it out, says Sandberg.
