(Dagbladet): Four Estonian men had hatched a plan to break into the jeweler’s shop “Precise Clocks & Gold” in Bodø on Saturday night.
In order to obtain gold and jewels, drove men over 100 mil through green forests from Estonia to Bodø.
The problem for the thieves were just that Europol, with help from police from Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Poland and Sweden, already from those sat in the car in Estonia, kept a watchful eye on the men that is criminal acquaintances of Europol and Estonian police.
Early Sunday cut the men through the roof of the shopping center City Nord, and took down the goldsmith shop using a rope.
But accidentally triggered the alarm. Then fled the place, unaware that police had followed them all the way from Estonia to Bodø.
This led to police in Salten police district, after several days of surveillance, could apprehend the four Estonians with his pants down after the failed burglary attempt.
– They were taken with my pants down, and to the point, says Øystein Røsnes, police superintendent at Salten police district, told Dagbladet.

Four burglary of 6 years
This is not the first time goldsmith shop “Precise Clocks & Gold ‘experience receiving unwanted visitors. The shop has experienced no less than four burglaries since March 2009.
In 2009, broke three Lithuanians in the same way as Estonians took advantage of Sunday. They cut holes in the roof and used a ladder to take off in the store. They were joined watches, gold and diamonds to about 800 000, according to police in Salten.

– This case has not police solved, says Røsnes.
Police have now, naturally enough, a suspicion that there is a connection between all the burglaries in the store known for selling expensive and exclusive merchandise.
In 2009 took place a rebuilding of the shopping center City Nord. Police know that workers in contracting companies were mainly Eastern Europeans.
Examines hypothesis
Police suspect that Eastern Europeans, both from Poland, Lithuania and Estonia, who have worked for construction companies that undertook the reconstruction of the shopping center, may have participated in or enlightened criminal about the business and the building vulnerable roof.
– It is important to emphasize that we do not have any justified suspicion, but that we examine the hypothesis that this may be associated with all the burglaries, said Røsnes.

All the four arrested were prepared for custody Tuesday. It was filed imprisonment for 4 weeks. One of them consented to detention, police said. They are all charged with attempted grand larceny.
