Police first received notification that a person was observed consistently in the road.
– We sent cars to the place, but at 05.50 o’clock we got into a message that the person was struck and lay in the roadway, said police efforts Svein Arild Jørundland NRK.
He says that police, ambulance and fire brigade arrived quickly to the place and started lifesaving treatment.
– Unfortunately it was quickly determined that the woman was dead, said Jørundland.
At the accident site was again a sign with a registration number.
– We have had contact with the driver of this car, which has acknowledged to us on the phone that she had hit something with the car when she was on the way to work, says efforts leader Jørundvåg.
Police are now working to identify events.
