Customs officers found 206,000 cigarettes – Aftenposten

The total of four brackets represent nearly 900,000 dollars in evaded taxes to the Treasury, according toll.no.

Saturday became a Swedish-registered car stopped by customs officials from Kongsvinger. Onboard had driver 40,000 cigarettes and 63 kilograms of tobacco.

The driver, a 27 year old, stuck to the woods, but emerged a few minutes later and was arrested by customs officials.

Just hours later found customs patrols from Kongsvinger 80,000 cigarettes in an abandoned car in Skarnes in Hedmark.

Sunday found publicans 50,500 cigarettes and 31 liters of spirits in a Latvian registered Toyota Previa car that crossed the border at Kornsjø in Østfold.

The driver and passenger in the car explained that they were heading to Stavanger to visit a nephew.

The driver (28) and passenger (20) reported that they were on their way to Trondheim to work.

In the car was found 35,000 cigarettes.
