Ekenæs died at Lovisenberg Diakonale Hospital in Oslo Wednesday 4. January. It enlightens institusjonssjef Gunvor Stray Nordberg at St. Halvardshjemmet in Oslo, norway to NTB. Ekenæs lived on St. Halvardshjemmet from 2004.
Ekenæs was born 26. December in 1904. She stayed at Vålerenga in Oslo and worked as a seamstress.
Ekenæs celebrated his last birthday at St. Halvardshjemmet in romjulen with family and friends.
Niece Eva Kristiansen Skjelin (83) has previously spoken out to VG about why tanta was so old.
She has never taken a smoke, never taken a nip and stayed away from men, she said, and added that the tanta also have always had a good mood. (©NTB)
