19-year-old is born and raised in Oslo, and converted to islam in 2012. From vitneboksen he told that he came in contact with ekstremistgruppen the Prophet’s Ummah after the new year 2015. Then he had been engaged in the Syria conflict, where the civil war had already raged for several years.
At the beginning of march 2015 support he and a buddy happened to be on Arfan Bhatti and Ubaydullah Hussain of a kebab restaurant in Oslo. The two saluted as far as, because the 19-year-old knew that Hussain was a muslim.
– After we’ve eaten, suggested my mate that we should go, but I insisted that we were to be seated, because I wanted to talk with Ubaydullah, told the 19-year-old from vitneboksen.
He gets in contact with Hussain after each, and he asked if there was any possibility that he could contact Hussain on the telephone.
I wanted contact with Ubaydullah a bit because I had already decided that I was going to Syria. I had contact with a person, who I will not say the name of, said the 19-year-old.
– See him react strongly on it.
He already knew that the members of the Prophet’s Ummah had contact with people who had traveled to Syria.
I thought that he might be able to give me advice. But not about the ICE or some stuff like that, just to travel to Syria.
19-year-old sent as an SMS message to Ubaydullah Hussain, and that the two could meet. This was a few days after the first meeting, and the two went for a walk together to talk about that 19-year-old will travel to Syria.
After this, he became acquainted with several in the environment around Hussain, and the prosecutor in the case, district attorney Frederick G. Ranke, pointed out that he in record time became a part of the Prophet’s Ummah-the environment.
19-year-old says he was very ignorant about what one needed to travel to Syria, but that he got advice from Hussain about the itinerary, what he should bring and other practical information.
– This is the stuff I could fix myself. But it was I who pressed on buy and such.
Had avskjedsmøte with her mother
Route 19-year-old would use, is the same as the other two terrordømte people, Adam Magomedov and Hassan Ahmed, used when they were in the ICE.
the Day before he was leaving, agreed to meet the mother to take the parting with her. She knew not that his son should go to Syria.
She had made good food, and it was nice there, but I was aware that it could be the last meeting with his mother, said the 19-year-old.
to not start to cry, he sat up with a PC in the living room and looked at the most gruesome videos from Syria that he could find, to motivate and remind themselves on why he should go from his mother.
– There are videos I have seen countless times before, and manages to take me along.
While he tells me about the leave-taking with his mother, breaks the 19-year-old together in crying and need to take a short pause to collect himself.
the Day after he was apprehended at the Landvetter airport outside of Gothenburg. It was Ubaydullah Hussain who drove him to the airport, along with Adnan Shaluni and a film team making a documentary on Hussain.
19-year-old describes it as a tårevåt parting between the three, but adds that Ubaydullah Hussain have never had a desire that he should go to Syria.
Converted on the porch
From the vitneboksen told him that he did a lot of dank in adolescence, and røyket hashish and drank alcohol. Eventually he changed himself, and ended with this. At the end of the ninth grade he converted also to islam, but did not a large number out of it in front of friends or family.
I went out on the porch my and said the creed, said the 19-year-old.
Gradually he became more open about the fact that he was a practicing muslim, but his friends thought he was nonsense.
It spread a rumor at school and such things, but my goal was that the rumor would not reach my family. I’d take it later, when I felt it pass.
