One person died and several were seriously injured when a tourist bus ran off county road 63 at Grønning in Norddal Municipality on Saturday 30 July. Now police said they have arrested the driver of the bus.
Should be prepared for custody
“The arrest is based on witness observations and the technical and tactical investigations in general. The man was arrested Monday night on 1 August, “writes the police said in a statement Tuesday.
The man has gained status as indicted in the case, and will be produced for remand on Wednesday 3 August Sunnmøre District Court.

“Crime Scene Investigations show that there was a collision between a bus and a passenger car just ahead of the bus ran off the road, “said the press release.
the driver of the passenger car was a police officer employed at Aalesund police.
41 persons on board the bus when the accident occurred. The police was notified about the incident clock 16.25 on Saturday 30 July.
A male passenger from Ukraine died in the accident, police said.
The first phase finished
In the press release police said that the first phase of the investigation is completed. There are studies of the scene, securing track and immediate examination of witnesses on the spot.
Police said while there still remain several witnesses.
