Teacher suspected of assaulting five students – NRK

A high school teacher in Rogaland is charged with sexual assault against two pupils under 16 years, and is suspected of assaulting three others, reports Stavanger Aftenblad .

The investigation is in final stage. Within a short time the matter will be sent over to the public prosecutor, said police attorney Lars Ole Berge in South West police.

-We got a notice from the school. They warned us about something we should look into. We chose to initiate investigation and has also facilitated the questioning of those who purportedly subjected to sexual acts from this teacher, says Berge told NRK.

– Can you say anything about what kind abuse this to be about?

– the charges are denominated in sexual acts against children under 16 years.

– can you say something more about what it is ?

– I do not want to elaborate on it any further, says Berge.

the police have worked on it since February. According to Aftonbladet’s teacher removed from his position at a middle school in that area.

The lawyer says there is currently no basis to believe that there are more than five students who are victims of abuse.

As part of the investigation, the police raided the man’s home. Where were seized, but Berge did not want to say what was seized. The prosecutor will now decide whether to press charges against the man.

The man’s lawyer, Knut O. Eldhuset, says he currently can not say anything about how his client felt about the charges.
