* Nearly 3,500 members in 363 hotels and restaurants in six counties went on strike on the weekend after a break in the mediation between the Federation and the Norwegian Hospitality Association. Monday notified Federation escalation from Saturday, with new 2447 members in 209 businesses in six additional counties.
* The strike following counties: Buskerud, Hordaland, Nordland, Oslo, Sør-Trøndelag and Vestfold. Saturday there will be strikes in hotels and restaurants in Nord-Trondelag, Troms, Finnmark, Akershus, Rogaland and Møre og Romsdal.
* Unions went on strike in part because employers do not want to go with the requirements of local bargaining. (© NTB)
