VINJE: It ended in tragedy when a trailer lost control and overturned on E134 Monday afternoon.
LATEST: There was a 53 year old Swedish man who died in the traffic accident.
It was Monday morning clock 24:40 that emergency was notified of the accident at E134.
Police, ambulance and fire department came out with the same. The message was that a trailer had overturned, and that a person were trapped. The trailer should have overturned against a rock wall at the site.
No other vehicles must have been involved.
The accident occurred on European route E134 next Vinje church in Vinje. The driver of the trailer was stuck squeezed after crash, and the air ambulance was contacted to assist in rescue efforts.
14 o’clock confirmed police that a person was killed.
No other vehicles or people were involved in the tragic accident.
Will investigated
On Monday evening, the operations manager Gisle Småge announce that it was a Swedish man 53 years who lost their lives in the accident.
– The relatives have been notified and the scene is examined by Accident group of NPRA.
He added that the cause of the crash is currently unknown and that the matter will be investigated further by Vinje sheriff’s office.
Police also decided autopsy.

E134 was blocked for a long period after the accident in connection with rescue and cleanup efforts. TAs journalist on site could enroll about long queues in both directions. Detour was signposted via county road 362 and county road 37.
Later in the afternoon, in 16.00 o’clock, was way past Vinje bend again opened to traffic. The road was opened in one direction, with manual routing in place. In 18-time stretch stop-due recovery services.
