Ola (67) died when small plane crashed north of Halden – Dagbladet.no

(Dagbladet): 67 years old Ola Seim from Sandnes died when a light aircraft category Cherokee crashed north of Halden Tuesday night.

The police said in a statement late Tuesday night.

The accident occurred in the terrain, on a place called Lund. Seim was alone in the plane when it crashed.

– We are certain of the identity of the aircraft and pilot. We are also almost sure he was alone on board the aircraft, said operations manager Terje Marstad in Eastern Police District told Dagbladet.

stool not send distress call

Police said the plane was heading from Sola airport and that it was supposed to have landed on a small-aircraft called Torsnes Fredrikstad Municipality.

It never did. Instead collided it with a treetop and gone.

The remains are scattered over a large area, and the pilot did not manage to send distress call before the plane crashed, if you believe NTB.

Found outside Flights

The plane will be found outside the scheduled flight.

– It may look as if he has flown a bit too far in relation to what was planned, says Marstad Dagbladet.

The accident occurred in the terrain not far from a road, and was alerted to JRCC clock 18.20 on Tuesday evening.

The Accident Investigation began investigating the wreckage and the scene late Tuesday night and will continue beyond tomorrow together with the police to try to find out what has happened.
