Light aircraft crashed at Halden – VG

A small plane has crashed at ØSTERBØ north of Halden. One person is found dead.

Police said Halden Arbeiderblad that they have searched through the area just before 20 and is now confident that it was only one person who died in the plane crash.

– A small plane crashed into the ground. We know that there was one person on board, and that it is a man, says duty officer rescue leader Brett Jamtli by JRCC Southern Norway VG.

He said that a rescue helicopter have arrived at Østerbø north of Halden.

– it looks like it’s fatal. It is part wreckage on site. We have no indications that it was sent out distress call from the plane, said Jamtli.

Communications Avinor Joachim Westh Andersen, confirmed to VG that current aircraft took off from Sola Airport clock 16.56 Tuesday.

– we do not yet what has happened, and we did notice the crash on the NHS, says duty officer rescue leader Brett Jamtli by the rescue Coordination Centre said.

JRCC Southern Norway reported a crash on Twitter at 18.36.

Calls extra resources

the fire department assists with fuse and rescue technical stuff on site, says Per Håkon Lauritzen at 110 exchange VG.

– We got notified by police that a light aircraft has decreased by ØSTERBØ in Halden, and put resources there right away, says Lauritzen.

Operations at East police, Terje Marstad, reviewing the situation on site as hectic.

– We call in extra resources . Currently we have called in the Red Cross, extra rescue dogs, and we strengthen ourselves with police technical assistance. AIBN is also informed, he said.

Marstad can not yet tell further details about the plane or what type of transport in question.

According Marstad called a passerby to AMK as the person had seen a small plane. The plane had crashed in a field near a county road 922.

– It is too early to say whether the person saw the plane autonomous or not, tells Marstad.

accident Investigation Board is headed to investigate the accident site, said Director William J. Bertheussen VG.

– we were notified about an hour ago, and sending people out there to begin preliminary investigations. We have a procedure for how we work when this sort of thing happens, and we are going with now, says Bertheussen.
