Boy (12) went through the ice in Kristiansand – Dagbladet.no

(Dagbladet): Emergency services in Kristiansand who managed to water West Jorn, near Kjevik airport, after reports that a child has gone through the ice in forrmidag.

Kl. 12:50 confirmed police that a 12 year old boy was taken out of the water and taken by ambulance to the hospital.

– We have received reports that there should have been more people on the ice in western Jørn . One of these has fallen below the ice. Thurs the 2nd should have run for help. The person that was recovered by divers attempted revived on the spot. The person is now sent by ambulance to the hospital in Kristiansand. We are not aware of his condition, said operations in Agder Police, Audun Eide said in a statement.

He says they have no reason to believe that it should have fallen more people in the water, says Eide.

The first message came at 11:31. A few minutes later notified Agder Police that several children have been out on the ice on the pond, and a diver from the fire department was headed.

– We got the message that one person has gone through the ice. We are on site and collaborates with the other emergency services to clarify the situation, said operations manager Sverre Birkeland Dagbladet at 11:55.

Shortly afterwards police officials on Twitter that one person was taken from the sea by diver.

– The person is lifeless. It is started resuscitation on site and municipal crisis team is notified, sounding message.

Police scene commander at the scene says Fædrelandsvennen that his condition is serious.

the newspaper writes that students and a teacher tried to salvage the boy when emergency services arrived. They were sent ashore, and police said that there letes by more people than the boy who is picked up.
