Figures from the various student organizations in Norway shows that 9,537 students are waiting lists for housing this year against 15,625 last year the first and second week of August.
NSO believes it is important that the government continues the increase in construction of new student residences.
– The pressure on the rental market is still too large in several of the study towns, and housing situation is critical for several thousand students. It is important that the government is sticking to its commitment so that even more students get a good semester next year, says chairman of the Norwegian Student Organization (NSO), Therese Eia Lerøen.
