Nav will scrutinize Lime-employee medical certificates – Dagbladet.no

Navs controller will examine 1,000 medical and doctor’s declarations printed for employees of grocery chain Lime. Doctors also risk police investigation.

Police and Nav suspect employees of Lime chain has been used to extract unjustified social security benefits. Now check whether doctors have been involved in insurance fraud, for example, fake medical certificates and constructed working, writes Dagens Næringsliv.

– It’s no secret that Nav Control works with Lime case. Several factors pointed to systematic insurance fraud. It is also natural for us to control physicians’ participation. We have a system to check fake medical certificates and false medical certificates, says Sverre Lindahl in Nav control.

Around 1,000 statements and medical certificates shall be examined.

– This is a meticulous work, and it is too early to say anything about what the results of the study are, points control director.

Nav Control confirms that doctors with connections to Lime-matter contained in the report.

– Lime-matter is very serious, and in efforts to uncover insurance fraud, we check all sides of the issue, says Lindahl.

Three of the most important people in Lime chain has already been expanded indictment for complicity in insurance fraud. Attorney Arild Holden and lawyer John Christian Elden, who represents two of the accused, rejects both allegations insurance fraud.
