On Friday, a man in his 50s found with major injuries to his home in Balsfjord. He was pronounced dead Saturday by the hospital.
– We found the man with major head injuries. He was transported by helicopter to University Hospital, said police lawyer Frode Stock at Troms Police District.
Now police have arrested and charged a man who will stand the deceased close.
– Police have initiated an investigation of the case and arrested and charged a person for bodily harm resulting in death, says Stock.
Stock confirms to NRK that the accused is taken into custody.
– He will now be detained for two weeks, he says and adds:
– There will be an extensive investigation to come. We will make additional witnesses beyond what we have already done. The scene must be secured and reviewed by the crime technician and it will be made an autopsy of the deceased.
