Økokrim get refs for FBI questioning – Dagens Næringsliv

The court believes Økokrim used unacceptable methods when police brought in the FBI during questioning in Brussels.

In Yara judgment writes Judge Heidi Heggdal and the two lay judges that Økokrim procedure in connection with the interrogation of Ken Wallace is highly questionable.

Spring 2012 undertook Økokrim a coordinated action in Paris in cooperation with the FBI in the United States and the French police, where Daniel Clauw and Ken Wallace was arrested. Wallace was again interrogated in November in Brussels. After Wallace was questioned in Brussels, he learned that representatives from the FBI and the US Justice Department were present. Wallace was willing to talk with them, and according to recording court heard was Wallace asked to “tell the truth”.
