Now hold Left and KrF Anundsen guessing – Aftenposten

While Ap, Sp and SV will trap justice minister, select KrF and Left to wait to say what they mean. Thus Government fate uncertain a few days.

– We have discussed a State Council conduct in relation to Parliament. After thorough questions and a long consultation, we look at the conclusion. Then we come to the way he has behaved in such that we do not have confidence in him, says Labour leader Jonas Gahr Støre told Aftenposten.

He believes that the Minister has both withheld information and misinformed Parliament. The party leader argues that questions about a possible government crisis was not up in the party’s parliamentary group. He would rather not answer directly whether Labor is ready to take over if distrust proposal against Anundsen get majority and the whole Government.

– It has not been an issue here, the topic has been a State Council conduct in relation to Parliament. Then we come to the way he has behaved in such that we do not have confidence in him.

– But are you ready to take over?

– This Parliament has a clear bourgeois majority, he says, adding that the government also has a majority through the agreement with the Liberal Party and the Christian Democratic Party.

– Majority for a confidence motion may well cause the entire Government?

– The must the Government and the Prime Minister to deal with. This is mistrust to a minister, I will keep me far away to speculate how the Prime Minister will consider it.

It is the first time in 32 years Labor is helping to promote a confidence motion. Minister made it clear that the discussion had been thorough, but characterized by consensus conclusion.

The background to the case is that the Government did not follow the agreement with the Christian Democrats and Left on long remaining asylum children. These were no longer a priority in dispatching queue. Through revelations in Bergens Tidende, and eventually hearing in Parliament, it became clear that many families were sent out in breach of the agreement. It was also raised doubts about Anundsen answered questions honestly.

While the coalition parties do not see grounds for distrust, doubt KrF and Left still.

– We had a very good discussion, but need more time, says Christian Democrat Hans Fredrik Grøvan.

He says that there is an extensive material that must be discussed.

Neither Left concluded at their meeting in the White Group yesterday.

The government is negotiating with these parties about the fate of the approximately 80 children who were repatriated in violation of the agreement. Aftenposten sources Left suggests that it might be good to let the uncertainty about mistrust hang in the air before one agrees these children.

Grøvan in KrF denies flatly that his party thinking tactically that way.

– We have been very clear that there are two cases. Today we discussed a case from SCSCA. There are serious questions concerning information to Parliament. But having said that, we will also show that the 80 kids get a retrial of their cases.

– I relate relaxed and balanced to Parliament’s consideration of these issues. I know what the facts are, then we’ll see what becomes politics out of it, said Minister of Justice yesterday.
