- Not an invoice, just a quote – Aftenposten

- Not an invoice, just a quote – Aftenposten

The company Irepair International operates with street address in Sandakerveien 138 on “invoices” they have sent several companies. It is the same address where the Consumer Ombudsman keeps house.

– This is fraud and it’s a neat addition element that they have the same address as us, says Frode Elton Haug, legal director of the Consumer Ombudsman.

– They are at least not here in the house, he adds.

“This is not an invoice”

In an email to BT writes firm that it is not an invoice they sent out, but that there is talk of a campaign.

“If ye have received offers from us and perceived this as an invoice We apologize strongly. This is NOT an invoice but an offer. “

the – Never heard of

On Wednesday BT contacted by several companies that had what they perceived as bills from the firm.

– We have received an invoice of 4,500 crowns, but have never heard of or been in contact with Irepair International. It is not good to say what we billed for, but there is talk of repair and broken mobile screen 2015, says Dipak Fintland Metis Education to BT.

– Pure Fraud

Another Bergen company contacted BT shortly after. They do not want to enter the company name, but the story is the same. The company required 4500 respectively. In each case they experience it that way.

– We have never heard about this. It is pure fraud, says a man employed by the company.

Frode Elton Haug Consumer Ombudsman stated that they received a tip about this case.

– These invoices are pure fraud. Throw them, he said.

– Record before vacation

He expects that a number of others have received the same and asking people to be aware of what they pay for door they take vacation.

– It is customary to send out such false invoices just before the summer or Christmas holidays. It is hoped that some will be fooled and pay, says Haug.

So far he has not heard of consumers who have received bills from the firm, and thus is not this matter theme for the Consumer Ombudsman.

– The best companies can do is throw invoice. They may optionally report the case to the police but it is uncertain whether they have the resources to look at this, he said.

Voice

Wednesday called BT several times the number on the invoice, or offer, which the company calls it. Where we came to an answering machine. It was stated that it was sent out offer free repair of all mobile phones for businesses of all 2015.

– It is not free when they send bill for work not done, says Dipak Fintland.

BT also sent the same day an email to the firm, without reply. Thursday we tried again, without achieving contact.

Cancels

Thursday at 13.05 got BT response from Irepair. They write this:

“If ye have received offers from us and perceived this as an invoice We apologize strongly.

This is NOT an invoice but a quote.

It says nowhere that there is a bill and there is no invoice number that appears on offer.

WE have decided anyway and cancel the whole campaign due to some complaints received, you can only disregard offer we have sent you, and you deleted from our records. “
