ODDA: Road Traffic Management Centre announced Sunday afternoon that it had been a landslide at Lono bridge, on the stretch between Røldal and Suldal.
– there are some big blocks with stones that have come down. They cover the road and the road is blocked, said traffic operator Tina Fjelldavli to BA.

Olav Ekkje, who reside in the other side of the valley, was witness to the slide.
He says boulders fell from 400 to 500 meters altitude, and raced with great speed onto the road surface.
– There was tremendous power in the fall. It came cars running from both sides, and they were only seconds from being taken, says Ekkje to Hardanger Folkeblad.
