By Hanne Sophie Fremstad

Monday wrote Dagsavisen that so far this year have disappeared 49 minors from Norwegian reception. The last three years have a total of 781 children disappeared, the figures from the UDI. Parliament Helga Pedersen (Ap) are concerned about how their children are safeguarded in the asylum system.

– Through integration Settlement adopted a detailed work description for immigration minister Sylvi Listhaug and government, says Pedersen.

She can not see that the instructions have been followed, and therefore sent a letter to Listhaug in February.

– Not at one point could Listhaug explain how she has followed up the decision. I think it shows a lack of willingness and ability to follow up asylum children, says Pedersen.

– What is the most important thing to make now?

– To follow up the Parliament has said. Recruit more expertise on children, for bright children who disappear and initiate special measures against the missing children end up in criminal circles, says parliamentary representative.

State Secretary in Ministry of Justice, Vidar Brein-Karlsen (FRP) writes in an email that the child disappearances is complex, and that it ordered a research mission to find out who disappears and the reasons for it.

– The final project report will contain recommendations that can serve as input to the development of regulations and practices. The immigration administration, poltitet and CPS will continue its efforts to ensure that cases where children disappear from reception priority and implement preventive measures to prevent children from ending up in criminal circles or being trafficked. Immigration has recently developed a reporting system to ensure an updated and comprehensive overview of the number of unaccompanied minors who disappear from reception, says Brein-Karlsen.

Press – Save the Children youth, marked the front of the Parliament yesterday to put the spotlight on children disappear from reception. Yesterday, the head, Karoline Steen Nylander that they are particularly adverse to the proposal extended

– We wish that the arrangements with temporary residence permit to a complete stop. It is paradoxical that it is proposed to deal with human trafficking and other crimes, when we know that it leads to just that, says Nylander.

Also Press calls for increased recruitment of personnel with expertise on children to the centers to prevent children disappear.

– The reception must have enough resources to accept the traumatized young people and give them a feeling that they are seen and that someone has time for them, she said.

Helga Pedersen agrees.

– Those who work in reception centers are in a stressful situation. Children Professional competence is important, she said.
