Dagbladet has been informed that the detained man is a Norwegian-Iraqi with Norwegian citizenship.

Monday night put the man in a several hours long interrogation. He does not acknowledge guilt, according to Aftenposten.

– My client rejects that he has done something criminal offense, and have responded openly to questions he has received during interrogation. He is also open to answer further questions, says lawyer Bjorn André Gulstad, which together with Brynjar Meling defends man Aftenposten.

– It is a strain for him to be arrested. He is subject to a serious accusation and investigation, but he is happy for the opportunity to explain himself, saying Gulstad the newspaper.

The penalty for the charge is six years in prison, according to PST.
