Will still fight for Highway 7 – NRK

There are divided opinions after NPRA chose Highway 52 as the second main road between the east and west of the country. One of those who shouts the loudest is the mayor of Hol, Petter Rukke. He has not given up the battle to get Highway 7 as trunk road in addition to E134. He now trusts the politicians to deal with the case until spring in Parliament.

– it is now hoped starts since it is now the political work starts. First we will go through the report to see if there’s something there that has not progressed well enough forward. It is also important to emphasize the importance of highway 7. Once that is done continue work in the various forums, said Mayor Petter Rukke.

In Hemsedal the mood is a little different for mayor office.

– the main argument is that coverage of the west country total. E-134 covers the Bergen and south so that the road along with highway 52 which covers the west country in the very best way, says the mayor of Hemsedal, Oddvar Grøthe.

Divided opinions

Among people on the streets in Hemsedal is a little shared view of Hemsedal thoroughfare between east and west. Many Penk that there is a safer way and a way that is better maintained. Meanwhile creates heavy traffic and a significant growth in traffic concern for the environment in the village.

– There will be long building processes and high traffic numbers. If traffic forward partly to go straight through the village so it will bring some traffic challenges. It is quite clear, says one of the NRK chatted with.

– There is a better standard and a faster way to hemsedal from Oslo. When tolerate one little increased traffic, says one of the other NRK hit the street on Thursday.
