SIRDAL: Emergency services in Sirdal jerked Monday out Liland in Sirdal after notification that a man had landed in trapped under a truck.

the police was notified of the accident clock 14.51.

it quickly became apparent that it was about a serious accident, and sheriff Egil Netland in Sirdal confirms to Fædrelandsvennen just after the clock 16 that a man is confirmed dead.

– It may look like he has lost his life instantaneously, says Netland.

the accident occurred in connection with sheep round on a private road near a sheep farm in Liland.

– This is simply a very tragic event. In connection with the sheep round are sheep taken in large vehicles and a man was hit by one of these cars, says Netland.

the man who is dead, is in his 40s and a resident of Rogaland. By 16 o’clock the police were about to be finished on site.

– We will now establish a crisis team to attend to those who have been involved. Four-five people have been near when the accident occurred, but all did not see as much of what happened. The driver is very influenced by what has happened, says Netland.

The police will interrogate witnesses and a lawyer will decide whether the driver’s driving license will be confiscated.
