Light rail is in the morning rush – Bergens Tidende

It is a halt on LRT Thursday morning, and it is uncertain when LRT is proceeding as normal.

– I regret very opposite all those affected, and encourage people to find alternative routes. This will not be resolved during the morning rush hour, said press officer Ingrid Dreyer in Skyss.

Collapsed

The new operating system has collapsed, NRK reported. Due to lack of radio contact with the carts, there full stop in both directions. And it is therefore not possible to get out information to travelers via tablets at stops.

– We are experiencing technical difficulties, but working hard to solve them. Thursday morning, we have not managed to run out some strollers. There is talk of 21 light rail that should have been out now, says Kristoffer Monsen to BT. He is a senior communications Keolis, the operating company that runs the Bergen Light Rail.

– 35,000 people traveling by light rail every day, so there are many who are afflicted now this morning, says Ingrid Dreyer.

Bus for court

Skyss sets up bus path. Buses between Birkeland shift and Flesland is redirected to replace court standing.

– It’s a big challenge to provide alternative transport to anyone who’d traveled by light rail. So far we have managed to acquire nine buses, but are working to acquire more, says Dreyer.

– I drove clockwise 06.20 from Nesttun to Bergen. The bus was full, and now I return when the bus filled with passengers, said driver Svein Gallefoss to BT in the center at 07 o’clock.

The buses run between Nesttun and center and Nesttun and Birkeland shift.

Jan Ove Halsøy and a colleague drove LRT Thursday morning to notify passengers at stops that light rail is not running.

– There has been little people at the stops. I think most have been informed of the shutdown, he said.

– Do you know when LRT is back in operation?

– No, I do not know, he replied BT at 07 time duration Thursday morning.
