It’s found a dead person in the apartment; it has burned, Maloy center, Friday, confirming Operations Per Rimmer at the Western Police District opposite smp.no.
An elderly man was earlier reported missing after the fire, but Rimmer will not yet confirm that it is the person who is found dead.
– We can not say for sure until the person is found identified, he said.
Emergency notified a little before 12 o’clock that the fire brigade controlled the fire in the four-storey building in Maloy. The building will be a mix of a commercial building and a residence.

Three røykdykkre was on site and make the fire remained to one apartment; but they shall not have managed to go into the building because of the flames and high temperature.
There were reports of an object that was difficult to extinguish. Neighboring building was evacuated.
The men in the fire department now operates with after extinction.
– Much of the apartment is collapsed. I have not yet received notification of the discovery of some inside the building, says Espen Rysjedal on exchange to smp.no.
Uncertainty person
Police informed earlier Friday morning to Fjordenes Tidende that a person likely was inside the building. The fire department is now entering with smoke divers to go through the building, confirming Rysjedal to smp.no.
– We have not accounted for a person who will be located in the apartment, said operations manager Per Rimmer in police smp.no.
Although the fire department has control of the fire, there is a lot of smoke in Måløy. Residents are still advised to keep windows again, and turning off ventilation systems.
Lokalavisa Fjordenes Tidende reports that an elderly man is missing after the fire. The newspaper has received such information from Vågsøy-sheriff Nils Bakke.
