Male (44) from Åsnes died in canoe well – Hamar Dagblad

GRUE: One man was killed, while the other two came to the country, after a canoe well in Skasen Friday.

There was a 44 year old man from Åsnes who died after the canoe he was in overturned at Skasenden next Finnskogen tourist and wilderness center Friday afternoon.

Along with him was a teenage girl and a boy in the twenties. These came to the country itself and got no physical injuries.

– There were three people who were out in two canoes on the lake. One canoe capsized and then the two would help, overturned also the other canoe, told operations manager Mogens Jensen Sulen by Inland police to Glåmdalen Friday afternoon.

The man, who was looking for work, was found lifeless in waters of Glåmdal firefighters IKS. The man must have been a while in the cold water before he was found.

It was implemented lifesaving on site, and police said the man was transported by air ambulance to Ullevaal University.
