Hard to reach agreement

In recent months, negotiators City of Oslo, Akershus county and the state been in regular meetings to determine how much money should be collected from motorists and which roads and collective projects that will benefit from toll revenue.

When it comes E18 through Asker and Bærum fronts been so steep that more along feared a breakdown in negotiations.

Public Roads Administration, Akershus representatives and right-wing parties in Oslo have wanted new, coherent highway with long tunnels, new local road system and advanced bus and bike solutions.

City Government of Oslo has fought hard to restrict development to a minimum because of the price tag of nearly 40 billion, to prevent even more cars into in the capital.

After the NRK experiencing is the solution to say yes to the first two kilometers of the city limits, that stretch from Lysaker even Strand.

It includes solutions for traffic to new Lysaker public transport terminal, new exit to Fornebu and lids on the Strand, where four-lane tunnel Bærum diagonal (also called Gjønnes diagonal) takes off against Bekkestua. This tunnel is located inside the package; it also makes its own bussvei private ekspressykkelvei along E18.

the original three consecutive freeway fields towards Oslo is reduced to two.

Unclear from Beach and westward

the planned tunnel from Strand Hovik church was originally built in phase 1 of the development, but has been postponed to a later stage that it attaches considerable uncertainty.

When it comes to the rest of the E18 West corridor, ie from Beach and all the way past the center of Asker, contains agreement formulations that one has not been concluded either the complexity or cost, after the NRK experience.

This means that the MDG has not succeeded in skin add the rest of the E18 project, but sources told NRK that the agreement deliberately vague formulations is a sign that the parties agree to disagree.

the parties to the Oslo Package 3-talks will meet to finalize the deal this afternoon, almost four weeks in overtime.
