The royal family waving to record long parade – NRK

In 18 degrees and bright sunshine marched the annual parade in Oslo in at Castle Square Tuesday morning.

Record Far parade

Around 60,000 children from 119 schools filled the streets of the capital, singing and band music, banners, flags and cheer. That’s according to Aftenposten, the highest number of schools that have ever participated. In the train, there are two schools more than when Norway celebrated two hundred anniversary of the Norwegian Constitution in 2014.

Tåsen school, which is 100 years old this year, was the elementary school who had the honor of waving the flag at train, behind the Defence staff music, mayor of Oslo Marianne Borgen and several of the city’s political leadership.

Snap in folk costume
