Four year old hit by car – woman indicted – Telemarksavisa

TIN: A four year old boy was on Friday hit by a car in Rjukan. Several witnesses saw the car, which was gone when police arrived. Four-year-old was flown to Ullevål after the accident.

The accident occurred in Jernbanegata of Rjukan. A boy was hit, but there was no car on the spot when emergency services arrived.

Friday night notified the police that they have seized a vehicle that they believe was involved in the accident. A woman has been charged in the case and she sits in night of questioning.

Ullevål hospital has reported that the child is moderately to severely damaged.



WITNESSES

The four-year old boy was conscious after the accident and the air ambulance he took with him to the hospital. Damage was not then known. The parents of the boy came quickly to the site.

Several witnesses must have seen the collision and the police had thus good information to go by in pursuit of the car.

– We do not know if the car has run or whether we are talking about an accident. We’d also like to talk to the driver and have good information about the car, said operations manager Lene Nordbø in South-East police Friday.



UNKNOWN EVENTS

Police has not yet to the whole incident.

Several ambulances were sent to the place and the air ambulance were also requisitioned. This country a little before 14.00. Four-year-old was flown to Ullevål after the accident.

Police Telemark could first report about the incident at 13.20 o’clock Friday afternoon.

They got assistance of Accident Analysis group (UAG) to NPRA. Both police and UAG are done on site, but the investigation continues.

The case is being investigated by police Rjukan.
