55 people evacuated after apartment fire in Oslo – Dagbladet.no

Three people have been rushed to the emergency room for check after a fire broke out in an apartment at Ila in Oslo. Further 55 people were evacuated due to extensive smoke development.

– It burned in an apartment in Darre street. The fire is now extinguished. The three people who are sent to the emergency room had no physical injury, but may have ingested smoke, said operations manager Tore Solberg Oslo police.

Smoke development prompted the police and fire department decided to evacuate 55 people from the area, and it is created detour Waldemar Thrane street. Solberg expects shunt will be repealed after a short time.

The police got the message about the incident just before 9.30. The time 9:45 notified smoke divers the fire was extinguished.

The cause of the fire is not known and police will conduct a crime scene investigation.
