The police was notified about the accident from AMK-center clock 23.45 Saturday night.
– When we started a large apparatus by air ambulance and police helicopter as well as ambulance and common emergency police. It was a challenge to get to the place, since the accident occurred eight kilometers from the nearest road, explains operations manager Jørn Gustav Larsen in South-East police. Also Red Cross was called out to assist.
The first reports were that there was one person who was injured, but eventually it became clear that there had been two people on the scooter. Both were about 20 years old and from Telemark.
– It was also clear that one of the men was killed in the accident. He was taken out by helicopter. We talked a little with the other man before he was flown to Telemark Hospital Skien. We do not know the extent of damage for him, but it seems to have gone tolerably good.
According to Larsen of kin were notified about the death during the night.
