The fatal accident happened on Wednesday morning. The road was closed at 0839, and is closed until further notice.
It soon became clear that there was talk about a very serious accident.

detour via county Road 7
– It’s detour via county Road 7 Hardanger and highway 13 Granby-Voss, says traffic operator Morten Hansen in the NPRA.
It is currently roadworks on the county road 7, but this must be terminated. Road Administration should also ensure that traffic is routed on the narrow stretches.

Charged stretch
There are long queues in both directions on E16. This is from the west side of Langhelle tunnel.
The main road between east and west is a charged stretch. Over the past 15 years there have been over 260 landslides on E16 between Bergen and Voss. Around 40 times this has meant that all traffic has been stopped.
